NORWALK, CA-Celebrating Life India’s 40th anniversary, launching new endeavors, and garnering awareness of India were some of the main reasons Life India, Life Global USA, and distinguished guests gathered at the Sanatan Dharma Temple here on June 16. Dr. Bhanji Kundaria, founder of the Life Global USA, Los Angeles Chapter,
has chosen to continue his efforts with the organization after being associated with it for three decades.
“Due to my 30 years of affiliation with the organization I felt I am able to help it grow in America,” said Kundaria to the gathering.
Founders of Life Global USA, were originally overseas friends and supporters of Project Life India which has its head office in Rajkot, Gujarat . BU Patel, Manu Shah, and Uka Solanki, were chief guests at the event while Ganpat Patel, Govind Lalani, and Dinesh Kantaria were guests of honor.
Rushikesh Pandya, Chief Development Officer, began by welcoming all in attendance as well as those in Rajkot to witness the event.
“Seeing is believing so come and see our humanitarian activities,” said Pandya.
Continuing on Pandya presented the audience with a power point presentation and a few videos to demonstrate the programs. The services provided are for healthcare which incorporates a blood bank, a program for thalassemia, and a wellness center. Additionally, the organization holds programs for education, environment, and women empowerment. It also has NRG and NRI foundations which are considered a help desk for individuals who do not reside in India who wish to gather information.
The chief guests were presented with awards for their support. BU Patel, one of the supporters, was invited to say a few words. “Do whatever you can,” he said.
Emcee for the event, Kantaria, then called upon Manu Shah, to address the gathering. “My aim is for my last check to bounce,” Shah who hopes that he donates to this and many noble causes like this.
Ganpat Patel said a few words adding, “People are remembered by their actions not their possessions.”
The event came to a close after a Q & A session. The audience members asked questions which were answered by the chief guests and guests of honor. Gratitude was expressed to everyone who was present at the event.
All the sponsors of Life India and Life Global USA came together to support a worthy humanitarian cause by which underprivileged individuals from rural areas can get out of poverty and better their lives.
Life Globa, USA was formally launched by Sandeep Chakravorty, Counsel General of India, New York; Frank Pallon, U. S. Representative of New Jersey in the presence of Senators, Congressmen and Assemblymen, at an event at Royal Albert Palace in New Jersey on June 27. Likewise, Life Global Canada, a registered charity in Canada is also set for formal inauguration in Toronto on July 20 under the chairmanship of Deepak Ruparell and founder trustees Pankaj Dave and Neeta Koticha.
In 1978, Chandrakant Koticha and Shashikant Koticha, two brothers, came together to start a noble humanitarian cause in Gujarat. Originally a trust, Life India, began as just a blood bank. Now, 40 years later the organization has seven programs. In hopes of continuing the efforts made by Life India, Life Global, USA, was founded by a few benevolent individuals who aimed to reach out to the underprivileged to help them get a good education and provide them opportunities to lead a better life.
