founding members of IASC Pal Thakur who presented her with a traditional shawl. The event started with the traditional lamp lighting. Indu Ben Daba lit the ceremonial lamp along with Nalini Bhatti, Nilam Tolani and others. Local singer Siddharth Philar who has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York came to the stage and mesmerized the packed hall with old and new golden hit songs.
Emcee for the evening Dipal Makwana kept the show going. The dance segment started with Ganesh Vandan by a group of dancers. Classical, Bollywood and folk dances were put up by students of various local dance academies, from tiny tots to adults. Those who took part included Savitri Dance Academy, Letz Dance Academy, Littile Rock Group, Dance Academy of Hiral Joshi, Ada Dance Academy, Prance and Dance Academy and Dancing Moms of Irvine.
The little rock star groups came on the stage looking adorable in their costumes and set the stage on fire Surabhi Sharma gave a solo performance of the song ‘Ma’ from the movie ‘Tare Jamine Par.’ Students of Ace Montessori School performed a dance . The school donated gift for all participants. IASC Founding Member Kamini Khare thanked director of the school Seema Choudhary for the gift donation. President of IASC. Atul Makwana thanked Kamini Khare and all working committee members, Nila Parikh, Anjana Patel, Charu Shivkumar, Ravi and Ranjit Vishwanath, Chitra Passi, Amarjit Dhamija, Ravjibhai Patel, Dipal Makwana for their support. He invited Sunil Tolani CEO of Prince organization to address the audience. Lauding IASC for doing great work to promote culture of India, he said IASC is giving opportunity to young artists to perform on a big stage. and build confidence in children. He praised the committee members who put all their time and effort to organize the show in which more than 60 artists took part. “I am committed to the community and am glad to be here today,” Tolani added.
