Tour operators were on hand offering tour packages that ranged from trips to the Taj Mahal to cruises on the Ganges and safaris to the many jungles and forests brimming with wild life. All this occurred to the melodious sitar music being rendered by R. Lahiri. The next segment was a visual feast with the Lunasha Dance Company presenting dances set to Bollywood hit songs. All the while the talented henna artist created intricate works of art on delicate hands. Youngsters enjoyed crayon coloring just as parents were thrilled that their children got to enjoy the culture of a country that is half way across the globe in the green belt of this location in Glendale. The early evening saw a packed hall watching the Hollywood hit production of the Dev Patel starrer, `The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.’ On Feb 4, a one-hour yoga session by Armen Menechyan of Pack your Mat Company had folks stretching away. The yoga session was followed by an enthralling Bharatanatyam recital by dancers from the Rangoli Dance Company. A vibrant India Bazaar also showcased Indian dresses, spices, jewelry, rice and lentils. Air India, the official air carrier of India sponsored the festival.
