NORWALK, CA - In coordination with Indian Consulate in San Francisco, GOPIO-LA, GOPIO-OC, GOPIO-IE chapters and Rajput Association of America organized a Consular Camp at the Sanatan Dharma temple, here on Sept.24. Over 150 applicants took advantage of the services to get answers to their questions regarding visa,
OCI card, passport renewal and other consular services. Deputy Consul General Rohit Rathish accompanied by three other Consulate Officers Brahmam Jagabattuni, Meena Vashist, and Asit Dutta were present to answer any queries regarding filing or completing applications. Many applicants were happy to talk in person to the Consular Staff and get their questions answered. People came in earlier than the stipulated time and also from long distances such as Riverside, Simi Valley and San Bernardino to utilize the opportunity. Consular staff stayed at the site as long as needed and made sure everyone present has the opportunity to get his/her questions answered. No one was turned back. Volunteers from GOPIO’s LA, IE, OC chapters and Rajput Association provided refreshments, copy/print service as well as Wi-Fi/Computer service to help applicants.
