on behalf of ALAPIO. CAFCC has more than 50 member clinics all over California,and they are part of the nationwide association of free clinics.
ALAPIO was singled out as an awardee by after their free surgery project which is unique in California and throughout the US.
In accepting the award Patel thanked the CAFCC members for encouraging ALAPIO by recognizing it.
“ALAPIO believes in taking care of people who cannot afford to help themselves. Our motto is health and well being of all, “Patel said accepting the award. “Lets all of us resolve that no one should and will be denied healthcare they need because of lack of resources and funds,”he added.
He revealed that ALAPIO is on the way to support one more free clinic in Norwalk, California and to participate in two more surgical facilities in Southern California to provide free medical and surgical care for patients without resources and with dignity and respect.
ALAPIO is in her infancy and during last four years has seen more than 1600 patients in their Downey clinic without any charges. ALAPIO has also performed about 160 free surgeries so far at Beverly Surgery Center. Patients are provided complete care including free diagnostic tests,medicines,transportation,meals and of course top class medical and surgical care.
