MURIETTA, CA – The Quick Mart brand is catching on in California. The grand opening of the store here on Oct 11 helped the brand get a firmer foot in the door. . Among a gathering of family, friends and invited guests, the ribbon was cut by Murrieta Mayor Alan Long officially throwing the store open for business.
Present at the opening were Rajesh Narang, Quick Mart Vice President Sales and wife Monika Sharma.National Senior Sales Representative who are pitching for the brand across the US; Nathan Menard, Quick Mart architect and Charles Watson, construction head. Speaking with India Journal Narang informed that the brand is growing with 85 stores now across the US and 25 under construction. The first Quick Mart store opened in California in Anaheim in 2012 and there are 14 stores under construction at present in California. Narang made it clear at the outset that Quick Mart is not a franchise but a licensing opportunity in today’s market where the company offers three concepts for the price of one. It offers the facilities of a C-Store, provides Mail boxes and thirdly, check cashing. “ It is clearly a very strong alternative to the competition in the current retail industry,” he adds. “Quick Mart offers turnkey franchise business opportunities that will allow you to own and operate your very own store in any city or state you choose for as little as $250,000.”
Ayaz Farooqui, owner of the new store was excited about the opportunities and seemed unfazed by the more established competition in the area. An engineer by profession, in a bid to spread his net, he has invested in the store with an aim of opening five more in the near future. Farooqui said what attracted him to Quick Mart was that it does not follow the franchise model like the rest of the competition. There are no franchising fees, no royalty, no advertising, no monthly service fees and to top it all no revenue split so the owner can keep 100 percent of the sales. The owner is free to choose the city and location of the store and is also at liberty to have a wide ranging product line . Farooqui is sure that business with get brisk once the store gets the beer and wine license which is very soon. Giving advice to prospective owners, he said one should go in for locations in cities which do not have a moratorium on alcohol. Temecula is a poor choice as it does not permit sale.
The mail boxes and check cashing facilities will also attract many customers. Farooqui is already thinking of expansion with plans to acquire the adjacent store for more space and provide more products and services for the convenience of customers.
Monika Sharma adds that Quick Mart is financing project costs of up to 50 percent for owners going in for multiple stores (minimum two). Exclusive territory is available for $75,000 which means exclusive right for an entire city. The build-out time is quick, 60 to 90 days after city approval and plan check. The company is growing at 250 percent rate and foresees Quick Mart to be a major player in the retail/convenience store segment. The company is also offering private stock options to senior investors with a decent dividend. Quick Mart also plans to have an Initial Public Offering (IPO)in about two years.
Narang revealed that there were a number of inquiries from prospective store owners at the event, who received a good discount towards the purchase of a store. Guests were treated to a sumptuous lunch and kept entertained by a DJ. The new store is located at 41539 Kalmia, Ste 101, Murrieta, CA - 92562 For more info. [email protected] or 1-800-670-6882
