Guests joined in with the planting - shoveling dirt, adding mulch and watering. Later they enjoyed a casual Indian lunch catered by Mantra restaurant and Neemos Ice Cream. The Mumbai Sister City is among 25 international Sister Cities affiliated with the Sister Cities of Los Angeles and was founded in 1972 as the LA Bombay Sister City. Although the organization’s 40th anniv. was in 2012, its board members decided to move the celebration forward to this year.
