ARTESIA, CA -Community members packed the streets of Artesia on Jun. 21 as the Little India Chamber of Commerce and the City of Artesia held their annual “Taste of India” festival on Pioneer Blvd. The event featured several blocks of entertainment for all ages and lasted into the wee hours of the night.
The main event commenced around 8pm as guests gathered at the corner of 187th Street and Pioneer Boulevard to witness an electrifying fashion show and musical concert. Models walked the stage showcasing the latest bridal wear and evening gowns from the Frontier Heritage Collection. As the leading premium ethnic women’s designer wear, the company has storefronts in USA, Canada, and Delhi. Founder Nita Asija addressed the crowd and explained why Frontier Heritage has become synonymous with fashion and style.
The night culminated with an empowering musical concert headlined by Brijesh and Shobhana. Singer Rex D’Souza, who electrified the audience last year, was forced to cancel due to a family emergency. Nonetheless, the audience was still captivated by the stylings of The Silver Star Orchestra as well as the popular duo Nafis Anand and Jr. Dev Anand. Brijesh and Shobhana joined the stage and melted the hearts of the audience with various love songs and recent Bollywood favorites. Many guests were seen singing and dancing along to the popular songs all night long. The festival concluded around midnight.
