 UNITED NATIONS - North Korea on Saturday demanded the United States take steps to secure Pyongyang's trust before its denuclearization. "Without any trust in the US there will be no confidence in our national security and under such circumstances there is no way we will unilaterally disarm ourselves first," North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho told the UN General Assembly, Xinhua reported.
 UNITED NATIONS - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) cut India's growth projections for this fiscal year to 7.3 per cent and for the next to 7.5 per cent on Monday, although the country will still retain its top spot in the global growth league. But "India's growth remains quite robust into the future; it is down but growing very strongly", said Maury Obstfeld, the director of the IMF's Research Department.
 UNITED NATIONS - India has contributed $250,000 to the UN to fund a review of its programme for landlocked developing countries. Accepting the cheque on Thursday, Under Secretary-General Fekitamoeloa Katoa 'Utoikamanu said, "India is a major partner from the South and also an important transit country for landlocked developing countries to transport their products to sea ports."

 UNITED NATIONS - Delhi will become the world's largest city in a decade, according to the UN. "Tokyo remains the world's largest city in the world with 37 million inhabitants. Delhi, however, is projected surpass Tokyo as the world's largest agglomeration around the year 2028," John Wilmoth, the Director of Population Division of the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), said on Wednesday.
