STOCKTON, CA- The Gurdwara here is commemorating its 103th foundation anniversary. The Gurdwara came into being with efforts of Indian freedom fighters a century ago. Sikh congregations used to arrive here from various parts of California, from as far as San Diego and Yuba City to meet here on monthly basis. It was here that the Gadar revolt against British rule in India was planned.
Stockton Gurdwara Sahib now is a well established Sikh institution with programs taking place daily.
