as well as the area in which the statues were to be mounted. The grand opening and installation of the deities took place on August 28.
The community has come together to help with the hope that the mandir becomes a safe haven for its believers.
“We aim at creating an environment of safety and purity which will lead to peace of mind,” said Pandit Chandrasekhara Sharma Samavedula.
“If we worship nature then in turn nature will protect us, its believers,” said Panditji.
The mandir also hopes to serve the youth and teach them Vedic traditions, Vedic sciences, and Hinduism. Originally this location in Costa Mesa was not available. So, the search continued for the perfect location. Then two years later this location became available. Therefore, thinking it may have been “meant to be” this location was selected for the mandir, Panditji said.
There are many aspirations and visions for this location that are yet to come to life. In the future, the plans will gradually come into play. However for now, the mandir is open and all are welcome. All the pujas, sermons, and teachings will be conducted in English.
