Aspiring to continue to grow and develop piece by piece the Acharya Sushil Kumar Center for Non-Violence wants to be considered as a spiritual retreat and a place where people of all ages can come to meditate and connect with themselves and engage in camps and other activities for children. “A family centered and kid friendly retreat which teaches the fundamentals of Jainism and non-violence,” said Sanjiv Jain, trustee and joint secretary. Inder Jain’s vision of building a west coast ashram for Guruji Sushil Kumar was realized when the land the non-violence center sits on was purchased in 2009. Inder Jain, previous president and chairman, created the Southern California Mahavir Jain Mission which assisted in bringing to life the non-violence center continuing in Guruji Sushil Kumar’s straight path.
