PACOIMA,CA-The Ujjaldidar Foundation set up in memory of S. Ujjaldidar Singh who passed away on July 28, 1993 memorialized his short life by holding the 24th Annual Children’s Day at Khalsa Care Foundation on July 28 with Sikh children from age 7 to 20 taking part in various activities vying for beautiful trophies and recognition.

Ujjaldidar Singh who passed away on July 28, 1993 memorialized his short life by holding the 24th Annual Children’s Day at Khalsa Care Foundation on July 28 with Sikh children from age 7 to 20 taking part in various activities vying for beautiful trophies and recognition.
Some of the categories were Kirtan, Tabla, Dastarbandi (turban tying),Gurbani reading, basketball free throw, Gatka, speech, kavita recital, scholarship and last but not least was group kirtan which was for exhibition purposes and did not count as competition. The Gurdwara was filled to capacity. A sumptuous breakfast was served.
The grounds of KCF were a busy hive of activity. It was a joy to see the quality of talent that was presented by all. As there were many competing categories, all the available halls and rooms were occupied in order to finish the competition on time. It was past 4 pm when it was all done and the trophies and prizes handed to the winners.
