IRVINE,CA - After Diwali, a rare event with rituals and chanting of Vedic mantras took place on Nov 10 at the Mandir here. All customary rituals, daily homam and pujas were performed by participating families in authentic
Tamil style. A note-worthy feature was the three processions of 20 well decorated ‘Kaavadi’ carried by kids and adults enacting actual practice in Tamilnadu and adjoining states. Cultural programs were performed by students under the direction of their gurus including singing of melodious bhajans by Bhagvathar group from New Jersey. As always, prasadam were served.
