NEW DELHI - An Indo-German Max Planck Center on Computer Science, where collaborative basic research between Indian and German scientists will be carried out, was inaugurated here in the IIT campus on Feb 3.

It was inaugurated by Indian Science and Technology Minister Prithviraj Chavan along with visiting German President Horst Koehler.

Center of excellence will engage researchers from institutes like Tata Institute of Fundamental Research Mumbai, IITs and from Max Planck Institute for informatics, Saarbruecken, Germany.                                        (PTI)
