NORTH HILLS, CA – Giani Gurmakh Singh, the first head Priest and Hazoori Raagi of the first Gurdwara in greater Los Angeles area at Vermont, passed away at his residence here on January 30.

He is survived by his wife, five sons, 10 grand children and seven great grand children.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, February 4 at Oakwood Memorial Park, 22601, Lassen St., Chatsworth at 1 pm, followed by Ardas (Prayer) at Valley Sikh Temple, Canoga Park.

Bhog of Guru Granth Sahib and Antim Ardas (Final Prayer) will be held on Sunday, February 7 at Gurdwara Sanjha Darbar, Khalsa Care Foundation, 9989 Laurel Canyon Blvd., Pacoima, at 3.30– 5.30 pm for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
