IIT-Delhi gets Rs 50-cr grant for School of Public Policy

Man arrested for painting swastikas on Trump's Hollywood star

LOS ANGELES - Authorities have arrested a 29-year-old man suspected of spray-painting swastikas on US President Donald Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, media reported. Jose Ortega of Los Angeles was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of felony vandalism, said a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department. The star is located on Hollywood Boulevard near Highland Avenue in Los Angeles, Xinhua news agency reported late on Tuesday.

California wildfires toll hit 80, over 990 missing

The death toll from the destructive wildfires have reached 80, with 993 people still unaccounted for, authorities said. As of Sunday evening, there were 77 deaths and 9,700 homes destroyed as a result of the 149,000-acre Camp Fire in Northern California, which started on November 8, according to the Butte County Sheriff's Office. A second blaze in Southern California called the Woolsey Fire started northwest of Los Angeles also on November 8, has killed at least three people with more than 96,000 acres torched,

California wildfires death toll rises to 50

SAN FRANCISCO - The statewide death toll in Californias wildfires has reached 50 as rescuers continue to search for the missing persons, authorities said. The deaths from the Camp fire, the deadliest wildfire in the state's history, increased to 48 on Tuesday, said Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea. Two people died in the Woolsey fire, a major blaze in Southern California that charred more than 150 square miles, an area larger than the size of Denver,

Migrants heading to US apply to Mexico for asylum
