LOS ANGELES, CA- Living life to the fullest is desired by everyone but unfortunately is fulfilled only by a few. The rest of the people in the world are hanging in the balance, attempting and striving to live their lives to as full of an extent as possible.
LOS ANGELES, CA- Living life to the fullest is desired by everyone but unfortunately is fulfilled only by a few. The rest of the people in the world are hanging in the balance, attempting and striving to live their lives to as full of an extent as possible.
Dr. Navin Doshi is one of the many individuals who for his whole life has been trying to live his life to his fullest desired style. His ideal will be to have attained peace, become one with nature, and have found his psychological truth and philosophical Self.
Continuously working toward his ideals, Doshi recently received a Doctorate of Peace award from the Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa. MUM is a non-profit university, with a completely different approach on education, which was founded in 1971 by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. In an exclusive interview with India Journal, Doshi reacting to the award said, “What a hugely prestigious honor. I am not quite sure if I deserve the highest honor they have given to me, but I feel wonderful.”
Not only does Doshi appreciate the award he has received additionally he respects, admires, and holds to a higher regard the system in place at MUM.
“They (MUM) are an institution run by saintly organizers; saintly because you have chosen to live a much simpler life for a cause that helps humanity towards a peaceful and blissful mind. A mind with an ocean of love and feelings of oneness. They (MUM) are so dedicated providing probably the best education to their students,” said Doshi. While accepting his award, Doshi gave a speech in which he spoke about his ideals of peace, nature, truth, and Self. First touching on the topic of peace and what it means and how to embody it.
“’Peace’ has a very broad meaning. External to ourselves, it implies the absence of hostility and violence, not just physical but also verbal,” said Doshi.
In hopes of finding his truth, Doshi continuously strives toward working and completing his goals. “Finding Psychological Truth is the perpetual process of harmonizing intellectual and intuitive truths. The Philosophical Truth encompasses not only science and mathematics but also fields of humanities,” said Doshi.
In addition to figuring out his Psychological and Philosophical Truths, Doshi is as well attempting to determine his Self.
“The Philosophic Self is not the realm of the spiritual Self of permanence; it is evolving and rising towards the spiritual Self. The Philosophical Self is fully developed when every human faculty, in harmony, is integrated, in balance with and complementing its opposite,” said Doshi.
Hoping to achieve a sense of Philosophical Self, Doshi continues to strive to accomplish his goals and live life to what he considers the fullest.
“I do not know where I am mentally at this stage of my life. However, I keep practicing ways to attain the highest state of mind. I must admit that I am not, repeat, I am not yet free totally from mental stress,” said Doshi.
There is an ongoing struggle to free ourselves from stresses and other binds of this world. Doshi will always continue to find ways to unbind himself to eventually attain the Philosophical Self.
