LA MIRADA, CA –Shootings in churches and mosques, mass killings and terrorism in many forms has led people to a heightened fear and suspicion of anyone not like themselves. Mystic India: The World Tour performed at the La Mirada Performing Arts Theater on March 10 and is working to highlight unity through diversity and world peace in its Bollywood-style music and dance extravaganza.

“We can find unity in diversity and strength and peace in mind, body and soul through culture,” said Sapra, lead actor and narrator of Mystic India: The World Tour. “We’re promoting world peace through cultural interaction, sharing and caring. The world follows this beautiful country of America. Let’s make this the epicenter of steps toward world peace and the rest will follow.”
Directed and produced by Amit Shah, with assistant directors, Shannon Desuza, Sapna Advani and Blyss Ezell, it features the talents of the New York-based AATMA Performing Arts dance company. The show has played to more than 500,000 people, treating them to brilliant dancers, renowned musicians and amazing acrobats combined with opulent costumes. Sapra was recently signed by T-Series, the most watched YouTube channel in the world for music videos. He skillfully guides individuals through the wonders of Mystic India: The World Tour, a two hour production. The show transports audiences from India in 1556 through modern day Bollywood as the land’s history is told in song and dance. The show talks about the festival of colors, tales of war and magic, dreams and romance, and kings and emperors amidst a backdrop of the mighty Himalayas and vast, serene oceans. Sapra takes audiences on an exploration into a land of 100 tongues, 1,000 religions and 2 million gods.
“Bollywood is the second biggest film industry in the world after Hollywood,” said Sapra. “Film, songs and live theatre bring people together and create global awareness. In turn, it generates a network of hope which further fosters world peace.”
One of the stories highlighted in Mystic India: The World Tour is that of King Akbar who laid the foundation of the Indian Empire that can still be seen today. A patron of the arts, culture and religion, poets and scholars from around the world came to his court to study and engage in discourse. Mystic India: The World Tour is a feast for the senses and a sharing of culture that celebrates diversity and seeks to create unity in the interest of world peace.
