LOS ANGELES, CA - Mother India Crochet Queens, won their third Guinness World Record on Jan. 21 at the SRM University, Chennai. The Crochet Queens started its journey in 2015, broke the Guinness World Record for the largest crochet blanket which was made by more than 2,000 Indian women from all over the world,
LOS ANGELES, CA - Mother India Crochet Queens, won their third Guinness World Record on Jan. 21 at the SRM University, Chennai. The Crochet Queens started its journey in 2015, broke the Guinness World Record for the largest crochet blanket which was made by more than 2,000 Indian women from all over the world,

which measured 11,148 square meters. In 2017, a new record was created for the longest crochet scarf measured 14.089 kilometres
This year, 720 members from all over the world attempted to crochet sculptures based on the theme “Go Green-Save Earth” and broke the record making 58,917 crocheted sculptures against the United Kingdom who made 13,388 crochet sculptures in 2014.
The founder of MICQ ,Subashri Natarajan, working as a CEO in a company and her passion united all women all over the world. From the US, 15 members participated from California, New Jersy, Ohio, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia , Georgia. Ruba Murali, who resides in Santa Clarita, California is the goodwill Ambassador of the US. ``We made many food items in crochet. As we had a USA theme, we made the White House, African American Museum, Space Museum, Lincoln Memorial, Art Gallery, Washington Monument,’’ said Murali. Around 532 members from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Mumbai, Pune, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi participated along with 88 members from USA, UK and Europe, Oman, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Singapore and Malaysia.
