ARTESIA, CA – Close to 200 guests attended the anniversary celebrations of Jasmin Human Services at Tara’s Himalayan Cuisine here recenlty in support of the non-profit activities rendered by the organization in. rural India and in Los Angeles for the needy. by Vasantha Batchu followed by Ganesh Vandhan by Mrunal Kulkarni. E-like leadership project was inaugurated by the invited dignitaries. Dr. Manorama Gupta and Bill Shefferly shared their thoughts on the importance of community service. E-Like Leadership Speech was moderated by Shubhita Verma and debated by Jasmin Sivakumaran, Swarit Srivastava, Dhruti Kulkarni, Nidhi Alle who showcased the confidence of the younger generation.
The powerpoint presentation of the charitable activities of Jasmin Human Services from its Founders Sarumathi Sivakumaran and Sivakumaran Kuselaraghavan, gave the audience a glimpse of the needs in rural India and how the community can come together to help. Yogesh Raghav, Rakesh Krishna and Jasmin Sivakumaran shared their thoughts about their experience working in these projects and how what is taken for granted in the US is a mere dream for many in India such as having a pair of shoes.
The event theme was ‘Yathra” –a travel through India to showcase the music and dance of various regions of India. The audience was entertained with music and a variety of dance performances from different parts of India.
