ARTESIA, CA - Individuals from various ethnicities came together at a single location in celebration of diversity at the third annual International Street Fair and Diversity Festival held here, on Pioneer Blvd. between 183rd and 188th streets on Oct. 1. With approximately 40,000 people – according to city officials -
in attendance throughout the day, there was an abundance of options of what to do and how to pass the time: an array of international entertainment, cuisine, live music, shopping, and generous giveaways. There were 100 vendors, over 120 booth spaces, 5 food trucks, and 2 stages which featured innumerable performances from various cultures. Booth spaces were made up of an assortment of clothing stores, jewelry, artifacts, etc. There was also something to interest the taste buds of all including two beer gardens for those adults who enjoy their hops. The City of Artesia aspires to continually bring everyone together with something to do for all ages and cultures at the International Street Fair and Diversity Festival, officials said.
