LOS ANGELES, CA – China Southern, the air carrier that is making its presence felt with its affordable ticket pricing and increasing number of destinations, especially in Asia, held a special meal tasting event on Nov.15 here at the kitchen and service center of Flying Food Group, the airline caterer which has avowed it is commitment to quality food preparation and culinary innovation.
LOS ANGELES, CA – China Southern, the air carrier that is making its presence felt with its affordable ticket pricing and increasing number of destinations, especially in Asia, held a special meal tasting event on Nov.15 here at the kitchen and service center of Flying Food Group, the airline caterer which has avowed it is commitment to quality food preparation and culinary innovation.
China Southern, with its eye on the Indian-American market is now working with them to serve up Indian meals on board. Working with Sky Bird Travel and Tours in Los Angeles, the airline made a presentation to a smattering of South Asian travel agents.
On hand was Chef Dale Hart who in his resume boasts of serving a President and appearing on television shows. With the help of Indian-Americans in the kitchen, invitees were given a glimpse of what Hindu, Asian Vegetarian and Muslim meals would be like. Accordingly, there were vegetarian curries and soups – of the Indian and Chinese variety. There was also lobster and steak for the non-vegetarian, again featuring both Indian cuisine and other international flavors.
China Southern services nine weekly flights from Los Angeles to its hub Guangzhou. Currently Indian-Americans traveling to India can go from here into Delhi. The Delhi service is an extension to China Southern’s six North America gateways - which apart from LAX includes JFK and SFO – to Guangzhou.
