“My phone is....not really a friend, it's rather an extension of me. Just like technology is an extension of our mind, my phone is an extension of me,” added the 44-year-old, who was accompanied at the event by photographer Dabboo Ratnani and singer Aditi Singh Sharma. Asked what keeps him occupied on his phone, Saif said: “Surf the net, make phone calls, videos, pictures. I like to stay in touch. It's a wonderful device. But quite often I don't take my cellphone out with me. I like to not be controlled by it. So, I leave it at home."
Is he a gizmo freak?
“No, not a freak. I used to love electronics, when they weren't so readily available, like in the 1980s and 1990s, it would have been really cool to have a video game console, but now they are everywhere. So, I prefer slightly older world now with less gizmos, even though I have them,” he said.
