VADODARA - A 10-feet-long crocodile, which created panic along the banks of Vishwamitri river in Gujarat, has been captured by forest officials. The crocodile caused concern among local people. Forest personnel launched a mission to capture the reptile after horrified locals of Bharvad area raised a strong demand to trap it. It had strayed into the Fatehgunj zone of the city from the river bank, department sources said.
It had created panic among the locals as they suspected the reptile to have killed a dog and some cattle in the area. The locals and the staff of forest department succeeded in trapping the reptile after hours-long effort. Hundreds of people from Bharvad locality and surrounding areas gathered to catch a glimpse of the crocodile as it was bundled into a cage after it was taken away. (PTI)
