BUENA PARK, CA: Our Indian Culture celebrated Mother’s Day in true Indian spirit bringing together the community. Akshita Khurana, founder of Our Indian Culture, with other team members, put together an event to appreciate hard working mothers and to celebrate motherhood on May 13, at The Yellow Chilli restaurant here.

The event had a dazzling “Mommy & Me” fashion show, showcasing all the participating moms and their kids. In addition, there were several dance performances. So-Cal’s popular singers Sid Philar and Kavita Kamesh rendered an emotional and soulful touch by singing Bollywood songs. A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to “NGO WHY,” which is engaged in protecting the rights of underprivileged children to further their efforts in child development.
The event culminated with the crowds dancing with abandon to Bollywood beats and a special gift for every mother.
