the ensemble exhilarated audiences with their intoxicating rhythms. Audience members brought lawn chairs and blankets to the Arts Center lawn to enjoy the free performance.
One of India’s greatest Tabla maestros, Ghosh also holds the rare distinction of being one of the most well- known names in the world of Indo-fusion music. Ghosh performed with Ravi Shankar for over a decade, and played on four albums nominated for Grammys including George Harrison’s final album ‘Brainwashed. ‘Before the event, there was an interactive percussion demonstration as well as a food truck from Bollywood Bites.
On October 29 the Valley Performing Arts Center  will present the West Coast Premiere of Ragamala Dance Company’s ‘Written in Water.’  Artistic directors and mother-daughter Ranee and Aparna Ramaswamy are protégés of the legendary dancer and choreographer Alarmel Valli, known as one of India’s greatest living masters.
