Join TiE Southern California for a Technology SIG in Orange County! Featuring Farhat Ali (President and CEO of Fijitsu Amierca) and Manu Shah (Chairman and CEO of MS International).
Farhat Ali serves as president and chief executive officer of Fujitsu America. Prior to assuming these roles with Fujitsu America in September 2008, Mr. Ali was president and chief executive officer of Fujitsu Computer Systems. His major contributions at Fujitsu include building an effective executive team, turnaround of the PC business, and successful merger of the Fujitsu product businesses in North America.
Mr. Ali has broad experience in all facets of business and operations. Prior to joining Fujitsu in 2000, he spent over 20 years at Amdahl Corporation where he held senior management positions, including vice president of operations, vice president of customer service, and chief financial officer of Amdahl Global Services.
Mr. Ali graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and computer science. He obtained a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Mr. Ali and his wife Memuna live in Saratoga, California. They have a daughter Yasmin. Mr. Ali is actively involved with local colleges and the CTO Forum, and he enjoys travel, golf and contract bridge.
Also giving a brief presentation will be Manu Shah, chairman and chief executive officer of MS International, Inc. (MSI), a leading distributor of natural stone, was named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2007 national award winner in the Distribution, Manufacturing and Security category.
Mr. Shah was recognized for turning a small business that he started in his basement into one of the largest distributors of natural stone in North America. Shah was honored as the national winner in the Distribution, Manufacturing & Security category at a black-tie gala in Palm Springs that was hosted by Jay Leno. Mr. Shah's national award follows being named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year regional winner for the distribution category in Orange County.
