keeping both eyes open to all of the significant details. Siddharth Gandhi, the owner of Tandoori Garden, has effectively managed to make his restaurant known in the food industry, having successfully run and managed Tandoori Garden for almost seven years since its opening in March 2009.
Gandhi thanks and gives credit to his mentor Manjit Singh as well as to all of his family and friends that have supported him in making his dream come true. Always wanting to be in the service industry around people and entertaining them, Gandhi aspires to be able to continue being as successful or more by thriving with this restaurant and all of his plans for the future.
Gandhi and the restaurant have been highly acknowledged since the day the doors first opened. Recently in November 2015 Gandhi was recognized and honored with the title “The Best South Asian Restaurant Entrepreneur” award which was given to him by the South Asian Business Awards Nationwide for Tandoori Garden. In addition, the restaurant was featured by Chef Kunal Kapur on a popular television show “The Foodie, comes to America.” In this show Kapur looks for the best Indian restaurants and foods in America. The show aired on Times Channel worldwide. Gandhi and Kapur sat together to talk about the good eats Tandoori Garden has to offer.
The restaurant has done well in creating a name for itself. Many well known celebrities from Indian television shows and Hollywood television shows have eaten at Tandoori Garden. Sanaya Irani, a well-known actress from Indian soaps, who played Khushi Kumari Gupta on the popular television show “Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon” as well as Josh Radnor better known as Ted Mosby from the popular American television show “How I Met Your Mother” have both dined at Tandoori Garden.
In an attempt to keep up with the contemporary trends, Tandoori Garden was renovated in late 2013 to give the restaurant a more modern look and feel. The ambience of the restaurant is to sit, eat, enjoy, and relax. In the background there is soft Bollywood melodies playing to create a calming atmosphere. Hasi, the female version, from ``Hamari Adhuri Kahani’’ was one of the many soft tracks playing in the background as customers ate their lunch. Currently, the newest additions to the menu are the Chicken Malai Tikka and Tandoori Garden Veggie Mix Grill. In addition to trying the new and exciting options on the menu customers enjoy coming back for their favorite dishes. The most popular dish on the menu is the Chicken Tikka Masala. Tandoori Garden believes in giving back to the community that has supported the success of the restaurant. Previously having sponsored the Newport Film Festival would be one of the many examples of the restaurant giving back to the community. Gandhi with the success of Tandoori Garden under his belt hopes to expand into a Panda Express style fast food Indian restaurant business, with every intention of maintaining the same great restaurant taste and quality.
